When photography meets Netflix

So a couple of weeks ago, I was looking through Netflix. I find that in the last one or two years, Netflix has added some really amazing documentary series with extraordinary cinematography. I've been adding so many to my favorites! (I wonder if I'll ever have enough time to watch them all!). To my amazement, I found one that focuses exclusively on photography. Obviously I had to watch it! I think I went through the whole thing in just a couple of days!

Tales By Light

Abraham Joffe, in collaboration with National Geographic, takes us on a remarkable journey allowing us to follow some really amazing photographers around the globe as they do whatever it takes to capture their photos. We, as viewers, are exposed to some breathtaking shots, but we also get to witness how the photographers go about their craft. Needless to say, the visuals are as exceptional as the actual pictures!

Every episode is unique and inspiring and keeps you wanting to see more! The variety of work includes shooting marine photography in Tonga, the Holi festival in India, various intrepid adventure sports, wildlife photography in Africa and in Antarctica, and many more.

In no way am I paid to promote Netflix or even this documentary series but I find, as everything seems to be transitioning online, this type of production has an incredible potential to reach an important audience and I think Netflix has done an amazing job in producing something that can and will inspire every photographer and videographer.
